151 Front has removed the majority of its chiller plant in favor of a more robust and scalable cooling system. District cooling provides chilled water to the building according to pre-determined temperature, capacity, and consumption. This ensures a reliable chilled water supply that can easily grow with the buildings need. 151 Front’s current load is handled by an 800- ton heat exchanger which, by design, can be doubled.

151 Front augments the district chilled water supply with a 325-ton centrifugal chiller on 15-minute stand-by for supplemental cooling and a newly upgraded cooling tower, which provides environmental cooling in the cold months.
